The Ultra-Link HDMI to VGA Adapter With Audio is used to convert an HDMI output port to a VGA female connection while also keeping the audio that is sent via the HDMI signal. The adapter includes a stereo input port for HDMI audio output on another device.
As an example, you could connect the male HDMI side of the adapter to your laptop then plug your VGA screen into the other end of the adapter, and connect your desktop speakers audio jack directly into the adapter to receive and play the audio that is sent via the HDMI cable.
